Typography Technique

Type design can give your words a (1)voice It can really add meaning and enhance the (2)message of your words. For example, on the Dizzie album they have used some really (3)cheeky and chunky typography here. It not only (4)personality the word but loads it with (5)character and it's great for someone that has personality like Dizzie.

The cover photo is a cartoony with a bit with bubble tile and blueish background.

In contrast to this one, I've got the Saturdays album and the typography here is really (6)elegant and beautifully crafted. It's much much more (7)feminine than the Dizzie one and it works very well with the fashionesque shoot on the front.

The Saturdays has a modern title with a greyish background and colourful cast.

In total contrast to my last two albums, I've got the sessions. They've used found and (8)distress type on the front cover and all the way through the album including the booklet where they've hand (9)scratch all the track names into the booklet. And I think this works really beautifully with the (10)mish mash of music that is on the CD.

The second image is clear because you can see the clear drawing and shading on the characters than the first one also in black and white.

Animation unit 11 Types of animation

2D Animation

Creating animations in the 2 dimensional space with the help of digital technologies is known as digital 2d animation. You don’t need to create digital models, you just need to draw the frames. Create 100s of drawing and animating them to show some kind of movement is technically known as digital 2d animation. Using Adobe flash, animators can limit the number of drawings used, which makes them easier to create digital 2d animation. Small variations like changing the colour or frame rate can be changed almost instantly, thus making it easier for the animators to work on.

In this Claymation, pieces of clay are moulded to create characters and based on the imagination of the animator, a story is unfolded. There are oil based and water based clays available. Sometimes the clay is moulded into free forms or filled up in a wire like structure called armature. The animated characters are kept in a set and with only short movements, the whole scene is film. Wallace and Gromit is famous for using this type of animation. They use plasticine.
