This is my booklet for UNit 5. It is uploaded on to Issuu.com. I had to consider the placement of the text and the images to make the product attractive. It is a simple, bold design that has clear text and large images.

Animation feedback for unit 11 from Level 1 Learners

The Level 1 Students watched the animation.

This is what they said:

1. The music was nice but too emotional for the animation. It should be upbeat as then more people would want to come to college.

2. It wasn't too clear what was happening apart from the boy cycling. Maybe have a little more time before the text so that it could be read more easily. There didn't seem to be a clear narrative.

3. When the boy went in to the class room the text was not readable and needed to be bigger.

4. The drawing style was excellent and was good and colourful.

5. It seemed a little on the short side.

This was audience reaction from the Level 1 Media students.

unit 5

unit 11: car

Here are 2 of my car animation, my first video shows my unfinished animation while my second shows animation is fully finished.

I had a character in a car from the bottom right side of the screen also had to move the character to the other side of the screen and add had 1 second (12 frames) in photoshop as you can see in the screen shot. After that i had to flip the character horizontally in 1 frame for the character to travel to the end of the screen with a blank for 1 second when the car is off screen. Also i had to add blue square screen with red text "The End" appearing at 9 second and the animation finishes at total of 16 seconds.

Bouncing ball

I had to draw out an ellipse using the elliptical marquee tool, holding down the option button to create a circular selection on Adobe photoshop. After that i filled  it with a bright yellow colour. After that i moved the yellow ball into  a time line to create a bouncing ball and rendered it on photoshop.  

unit 11: warping leopard

 I done this on photoshop by warping the leopards eye to open and close same with its ear.

First i deleted the blanks frames because the character didn't show up in the animation. Secondly i duplicated to be a fully animated character flickery in the animation. 

To do delete frames in Photoshop:

1. Make sure you are on the right layer (in the Layers Panel) in Photoshop. (The layer from which you want to delete the frames).

2. Go to Layer (in the menu at the top of the page) > Video Layers > Delete Frame

I done this on photoshop by drawing layers on the video and adding different multicolour.

Unit 16: I studio logo

This is some research from a book about Paula Scher the graphic designer. Scher, P. (2002). Make It Bigger, New York: Princeton Architectural Press

I chose this book because i wanted to get an idea to draw animal/mascot  for my own logo "I STUDIO",  i

took ideas from it and I drew a dragon on my sketch book instead of a bird to make it unique  and aggressive instead of a calm looking bird. The shapes i used on Adobe Illustrator for the dragon and i studio i created using actual texture such as the polygon and triangle tool to create the dragon as for I Studio i used paint brush tool and shapes to make it and group it together.
 

This is my second research from flyer by Infinite Livez i used for my logo to create my own mythical dragon on Adobe Illustrator 

Logo research unit 16

I started the project by finding out about logos. I found out the that are up to three different types (genres) of logos. They are logos using symbols, like the Apple logo. Another is a logo using letter marks and wordmarks. The other example is combination logos using symbols or signs and words.

Below are some example of logos that I have found.

Kelmscott William Morris logo has the french revolution feel to it. In fact it has a Shakespeare feel about it. There are old English style of letting used on it. It has a black and white, bold for the main text, patterns/symbolism that has meaning. square design scroll and top of the title size is 16 with an old english style. You can create this on illustrator by drawing an image and scanning. The image then could be traced using Image Trace in Illustrator.

Veryday is a simple logo with white background, beside of it it has a heart symbol with gold, pink and purple colour also the tile is covered with gold. The heart might represent the love the company has for the designing. This is a combination logo that uses an icon with a wordmark. The logo uses a san serif font which means it looks quite simple. To the heart on photoshop you use shapes to design the heart. You can create this on illustrator by using simple text with rectangles to create the heart shape and manipulating the shapes by using the direct selection tool on the anchor points. Use the rulers and grids to your advantage.  

No pic nic has the retro feel to it. The font design is bold white with the 8 bit font style. The outside the red is covered with grey outline with lego stylish block . Here the shape can be made using the rectangle tool. To make square you have to hold down the shift button on the keyboard. They are spaced between a part. You can do this on Adobe Illustrator by selecting rounding rectangle tool to make the logo "No pic nic" and warping  the letters by using the cut tool  to cut some edges to make it unique and special. Also by selecting the square tool on Adobe Illustrator and duplicating both square tool and locking them on the object tool.  

Start logo has a swirly shape with a white background and has a comic bold title to it and its like a lowercase and high case to it. also with bold black title. you can create this on Adobe illustrator by using the paint tool and shape tool like circle or spray tool also you can  warp some letters like "S" and "T" to join or connect them to make the letters unique on Adobe Illustrator. On the letter "a" you can see a cut on the bottom of the letter "a" you can use the cut tool to cut the bottom of the letter on Adobe Illustrator. You can see a little "r" on the right top corner you can do this on Adobe Illustrator by selecting type tool to write "r" and selecting circle tool and connecting them.    

    

B logo is cut in the inside with a white symbol of a b shape and the outside covered with black covering the space but makes it come out as an square and a loaf of bread. Also it's not a appealing to look at. you can do this on photoshop by using a tool like square and cutting the inside and making like a b shape.

Imagination logo has a black background at the bottom of the surface and top has a greyish top on it.
The Imagination logo has a skyscraper feel of title to it such as "A" in title resemble as the Shard in London and "G" as London eye Also "M" as London Bridge. The title is covered with thick line and  white in the inside also the title resemble as a news headline title. Element of the title is done on Photoshop style to it. This is a sans - serif fant and the letters have been squashed and some are not attached. The tools that are use to create "IMAGINATION" are pen tool, bucket tool, shape tool such as circle, rectangle and triangle.
